Mick Briant and Peter Robinson leaving the start of the 1970 Jim Clark Rally in Duns. This was Mick’s first “major” stage rally and was going well before the Ford Escort twin cam started to crack in half! He then went on to win multiple Motoring News championship events and was Motoring News drivers champion in 1975, 1979 and 1980.
